Further Information
A small increase to the seasonal allocation for the Goulburn system was the only improvement made in the latest update released today by Goulburn-Murray Water (G-MW), Resource Manager for northern Victorian water systems.
An additional 1% is available in the Goulburn system, which now has a seasonal allocation of 32% of high‑reliability water shares (HRWS). The Murray system seasonal allocation stays at 35% HRWS. All other northern Victorian water systems remain at zero allocation.
"There has been enough improvement gained from system operating efficiencies and inflow in the past two weeks to provide an increase in the Goulburn system allocation," said Graeme Hannan, G-MW Resource Manager. "The Murray system remains unchanged because of high river transmission losses and the lack of useful inflow."
