Further Information
The Resource Manager for northern Victoria today announced increased 2015/16 seasonal determinations in the Murray, Goulburn and Loddon systems.
The Murray system increases by 7 per cent to 68 per cent of high-reliability water shares (HRWS). The Goulburn system increases by 6 per cent to 66 per cent HRWS and the Loddon system increases from 45 per cent HRWS to 50 per cent HRWS.
Resource Manager Mark Bailey said the Broken and Bullarook systems remained unchanged on zero per cent HRWS and the Campaspe system remained unchanged on 50 per cent HRWS.
"Inflows in the Murray and Goulburn storages were greater than assumed for the last assessment," said Dr Bailey. "The inflows are the main contributor to the increase in the seasonal determinations announced today for these systems."
"The increase in the Loddon system came from conditions being slightly better than assumed in our previous assessment.
"The shortfall to making a seasonal determination in the Broken and Bullarook systems is reducing, but inflows into the storages remain very low."
